On any given day, the average worker is on the go. How do they make sure they can stay connected?

There is no shortage of options when it comes to getting a mobile connection, most of which are wireless. Check out our top 5 wireless options for at work.

Why wireless?

When it comes to mobile connections, two-point-one, you usually have a choice – wired, or wireless. For the most part, it has nothing to do with the merits of the network, which is actually somewhere in between fast and slow. With wired networks, you can expect to be a little faster than your wireless network, and slower than a wired network running on Gigabit Ethernet.

With wireless networks, you can be a lot slower than a wired network, but also a lot faster than your wireless neighbors. That’s the key to the wireless trade-off – if you’re going to lose speed in the process of making your connection, you can pay for it in speed of your connection. You will not get the same level of performance in speed that you do with a wired network, but you’ll be able to connect to the network from all your other devices. That’s the way most people work, and that’s the reason you should be looking to use wireless networks.

With wireless, you’re able to connect to the network without being tethered to it in any way – it’s actually much more convenient than wired, and you can set it up anywhere that you want it to be.

With wireless, you’ll need a plan, usually with a minimum download and a monthly amount of data you plan to use. You can be paying a lot less, and you’ll get more. If you look at your provider’s typical plan, you’ll be able to see what kind of speeds you’re expecting to get, and whether you’ll be stuck on a slower connection than you would like.

If you’re looking for a wireless connection that’s going to be faster than your wired network, there is a wireless network out there for that as well. You just need to be willing to put the work in to get it.

With wireless connections, you will need a router in order to connect to the Internet through your network. That router will take in all of
